Primer  show con el nombre "The Velvet Underground" y con Maureen Tucker. Tocaron junto a otras dos bandas, The Myddle Class as headliners y The Forty Fingers. La presentación fue hecha por el legendario periodista Al Aronowitz que también era manager de The Myddle Class.

 El grupo conoce a Andy Warhol vía Barbara Rubin.
Foto: por Billy Name, que se encuentra en la edición especial de  Songs for Drella, en cuyos creditos dice "Cafe Bizarre, Noviembre de 1965". Sin embargo, en una entrevista hecha a Maureen Tucker y Sterling Morrison en una exposición sobre Warhol en Francia 1990, Moe decia que si, esa era una foto de un show de Velvet en el Cafe Bizarre. Pero puede ser de otro concierto ya que ella recuerda que en ese show no toco la batería sino que ejecuto unos tamboriles.

Estos show fueron sin Lou Reed que estaba en New York internado en el Israel Hospital por una hepatitis, y sin Nico quién estaba en  Ibiza y se integró en julio. Angus MacLise estuvo en batería, Maureen en bajo, Sterling y John en guitarras y voz  lider.

First there'll be different underground films each night, then Andy Warhol, himself, and his rock group, The Velvet Underground And Nico. Then they flash lights on you and everything and turn you into wallpaper. Then you're supposed to go out of your mind. The critics aren't wild about this but only the Arts Council has the nerve to do it".
